Important Update: Starting July 10th, Mass Spectrometry Facility Services will be limited while I am on medical leave. In preparation, the facility will stop accepting sample submissions on July 3rd. Services are expected to resume on or before September 10th. During this period the facility will remain accessible for trained users. If you are interested in receiving training on our LCMS or GCMS so that you may access the facility during this period, please contact me to set up an appointment. I will be available for training during the following periods: 1pm-5pm on 6/18, 6/25, and 7/2 (Tuesdays) and from 9am-12pm on 6/14. 6/28, and 7/5 (Fridays). Training can also be scheduled outside these periods but will depend on my schedule and instrument availability.
The mass spectrometry facility is now home to a new LC-MS aquired by Prof. Brandon Greene! This is a high resolution ESI-QTOF mass spectrometer with high mass accuracy, suitable for accurate mass measurements within 5ppm. Equipped with a UHPLC for seperation, this instrument is useful for a variety of biomolecular applications including proteomics and metabolomics. While we get situated with the instrument it will be accessible for sample submissions. We hope to start training for open access usage in the coming months. Please contact facility staff for more information.
